Asbestos Surveys

You can't manage what you haven't found. Our surveys locate, sample and record every asbestos-containing material in your premises - to HSG264, the recognised standard - and give you a clear register you can actually use.

The starting point

A survey is the foundation of every compliant building.

Under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, duty holders must take reasonable steps to find out whether asbestos is present in their non-domestic premises. A competent survey is how you do that - and everything else (your register, your management plan, your re-inspections) is built on it.

We carry out surveys across commercial, industrial, retail, education, healthcare and public-sector buildings, working to HSG264 and reporting in plain English alongside the technical detail.

Two survey types

The right survey for the situation.

Most buildings need a management survey to stay compliant day to day. A refurbishment or demolition survey is required before intrusive work disturbs the fabric.

Most common

Management survey

The standard survey for normal occupation and use. We locate asbestos that could be disturbed during everyday activities and maintenance, assess its condition, and record it so it can be managed in place.

  • Minimally intrusive inspection
  • Material & priority risk assessment
  • Photographed, scored register
  • Recommendations for management
Before works

Refurbishment / demolition survey

Required before any refurbishment, alteration or demolition. Fully intrusive, it locates asbestos in the areas to be worked on so it can be removed or managed before the work begins - protecting your contractors and your project.

  • Fully intrusive, area-specific
  • Supports safe removal & works
  • Protects contractors & programme
  • Clear scope and exclusions
